The Sammie Sloth Story

Sammie waits in his tree canopy,
His long limbs and the tree entwined happily,
Claws holding him ever so steadily.
He sleeps 12 hours most days,
Dreaming of Santa and his sleigh.
When awake, he practices what he will say,
If and when Santa comes his way.
He waits, upbeat, in his favorite tree,
With a reserve of his most precious treats-
A mix of twigs, bugs, and leaves,
Saved for Santa, along with a special seat.
Sammie’s sweet face is always glowing;
Dressed for the holidays, his love is showing,
He waits, hoping, one day to see,
Santa’s sleigh through the trees.
